Blogging A-Z Challenge: C, D and D

Today is the fourth day of the Blogging A-Z Challenge and I’m already a day down.

If you haven’t checked out my earlier blogs, here’s an update. I’m attempting the 2021 Blogging Challenge which means posting a blog every day in April, except Sundays. Each post will follow the theme, as well as a letter of the alphabet.

So, what’s my theme?

Books and Booze: The Characters of Anna Ellis and what they do for fun.

Even though I get pretty dirty in my books, this will be a PG rated post. I can’t promise all of them well be 😉

Keep reading and I’ll provide a list of my books and where you can buy them. But even though this challenge will be full of self-promotion for me, I want it to be fun for you as well! So here we go!

C is for Callie

Callie Champlain is one of my most favourite characters to write. She does what she wants, takes who she wants, but values her friends and commitments of others above all.  Brawdy, busty and blonde, Callie wasn’t content to only be one of the main characters of the Office Plays series, but she spent a memorable weekend at the swinger resort in Room Service, the second book in the Adults Only series.

And coming in June, Callie will be one of member of Fantasies Book Club, my new series.

What’s your favourite colour? Red – blazing, bright, scarlet

Favourite food? Cookies. With a glass of milk

Farthest you’ve ever travelled? I went on a road trip to Muskoka last summer with Brienne. I’m not much for traveling, preferring to find my fun closer to home. Although I did go to Nova Scotia a few months ago and that was a lot of fun!

If you were a musician, what would your band/one name be?  Diana Dors. She was the British Marilyn Monroe with a reputation of holding parties in her bedroom. Sounds like I’m the reincarnation of her!

What’s your favourite 90’s jam? Backstreet Boys – all right!

Teenage crush (famous person) Luke Perry. I loved the bad boy with a heart of gold. I watched all of Riverdale just because he was on it

Favourite body part Am I allowed to say that? Because you know…

The last book you read and was it good I’m making my way through the Bridgerton series

Favourite alcoholic beverage? I don’t drink a lot but when I do, I like it fruity. And I’m partial to a nice bourbon

Last question!

Three words to describe you Fun, fast and a little bit freaky!

D is for Dominic…and for Del

I write about married couples in my books, and two of my most favourite husbands are Dominic and Del. Dominic is half of Dom-and-Jacey from Husbands and Wives series, about a happily married couple moving into a neighbourhood of swingers. Dominic is the most supportive swinger husband ever, who lets Jacey do whatever and whoever she likes, as long as she comes home and tells him about it.

D is for Dominic

What’s your favourite colour? Green

Favourite food? Jacey’s cook all that much, so when she does, I pretty much like anything she makes. But she makes the best mac n’cheese. The kids love it

Farthest you’ve ever travelled? Asia. That’s where I met Jacey

If you were a musician, what would your band/one name be?  Dom and the Husbands. Or maybe Dom and the Wives. That might be more fun

What’s your favourite 90’s jam? I listened to a lot of Pearl Jam back in the day. I can’t believe I just said that – back in the day!

Teenage crush (famous person) Jennie Garth. It was the only reason to watch Beverly Hills 90210. It’s funny because when you compare her to Jacey, they have nothing in common, lookswise

Favourite body part the curve of a woman’s waist

The last book you read and was it good The Martian by Andy Weir and it was great. Just as good as the movie

Favourite alcoholic beverage? I really like a nice Barolo, especially from 2010

Last question!

Three words to describe you Good teacher, great father and the best listener

D is also for Del

Del is married to Iliya in the Touch series. The two of them have an open marriage and invite Kenna to join them in the bedroom. He’s an award-winning author, also a teacher, self-professed mama’s boy and only wants his wife to be happy.

What’s your favourite colour? Navy blue

Favourite food? Kenna’s brownies. But don’t tell my Mama

Farthest you’ve ever travelled? I’ve been all over the Caribbean, and it’s bad that I should know what island is furthest. But hey, I’m an English teacher, not geography

If you were a musician, what would your band/one name be?  Del and the Dominos. That sounds like a real band!

What’s your favourite 90’s jam? L L Cool J

Teenage crush (famous person) Jennifer Love Hewitt

Favourite body part A woman’s skin

The last book you read and was it good A Man Called Ove

Favourite alcoholic beverage? Glenfiddich Scotch Whiskey

Last question!

Three words to describe you Husband, writer, educator

So here’s two posts and three characters for the price of one! If any of these character seem to be up your alley, make sure you check out my books at author.to/AnnaElllisbooks. Or drop a comment and let me know what you think!
