If you follow my blog, you know that I’ve been on tour with Goddess Fish for the past few months. It’s called Before the Masses Tour and it’s purpose is to get me out there for more readers to find. Of course I can’t pinpoint if this has been helpful, but I have made new friends, found new blogs and have really liked working with the gals at Goddess Fish.
Most of the stops involve Q& A or a guest post. Monday’s stop was at More Books Than Livros and it was full of reviews!! Here’s what Isabelle thought of Making Friends, Shared Accommodations, Office Plays and Touch!
You MAY read this because you follow the author; you SHOULD read this because you enjoy erotica; you MUST read this if you have read Jacey and Dominic’s story before.

There’s lots more to be found on More Books Than Livros. Check it out – I’ve never had such in-depth reviews of my books!!
We’re rolling right along on this tour. Today I stopped by Sharing Links and Wisdom for a chat. Check it out for a chance to win a $50 amazon gift card!
Anna, thanks so much for stopping by. So, how did you get started writing?
I’ve always wrote, ever since I was a little girl. But as for what I write now – I was writing a women’s fiction novel and I noticed a certain scene was a little too steamy. So, I thought, why not give it a try? I ended up writing Making Friends, and things just took off from there.
What was the inspiration for your book?
A few years ago, there was a group of neighbours who would spend Friday nights together. We’d have dinner, drink lots of wine. I got to thinking about how we were all such good friends – what if we took it one step further. Voila – my swinging series was born!
What’s the one genre you haven’t written in yet that you’d like to?
I would love to write historical fiction. I was a history major and I just love it.
Are there any genres you won’t read or write in? Why?
There’s not much I won’t read. I’m not much for literary fiction, but I’m not opposed to reading it. I don’t think I’d ever try to write science fiction. I love to read it, but I think the technological descriptions would be beyond me!
What are you up to right now? Do you have any releases planned, or are you still writing?
The second book in the Adults Only series, Room Service will be out next month! I’m just putting the finishing touches on it, and starting with the third one. I’m also looking at writing a little short novelette about the characters in my Touch series for a spring release.
Alright, now for some random, fun questions. Favorite color?
Purple. Or red.
I really hate this question because there are so many movies that I love!! Because I’m such a Star Wars fan, I have to say Empire Strikes Back. And I love some of the Marvel movies. But for my favourite, non- franchise movie, I’d say The Italian Job. The remake, the one with Mark Wahlberg. I just love him!
Book that inspired you to become an author?
Stephen King’s On Writing. Every writer should read it. But the person who inspires me is Joss Whedon. I think he’s a brilliant writer.
You have one superpower. What is it?
I’d want to fly, or super-strength. Can I have both?
You can have dinner with any 3 people, dead, alive, fictitious, etc. Who are they?
Joss Whedon, Stephen King and George Lucas. I would have a list of questions to ask, but I don’t think I’d talk much!
Last question: Which of your characters are you most like and how/why?
I think I’m most like Paige, in my Husbands and Wives series. She’s probably the most normal and the least sexiest, although she’ sexy in her own way!
That’s all from me, thanks for taking the time to stop by!
Thank you so much for having me!!
I stopped by Christine Young – Romance Writer this week for a chat about writing and sharing an excerpt from Making Friends.
I’ve always written, even when I was a little girl. I remember my first story about a bunny trying to cross the road. I think the bunny got hit, so it didn’t have a happy ending! But I kept my writing to myself, which a lot of writers do, until I was in my last year of high school and my Writer’s Craft teacher gave me a 49/50 on my story. It was then that I thought that maybe this was something I was good at, as well as being something that I loved to do. I’ll never forget Mr. Clarke for giving me that push.
Honestly, I have no idea. They really just come to me, usually in the shower, or when I’m driving by myself, or when I’m running. And usually when I’m in the middle of another project.
Considering what I write about, I’m not really sure how to answer that! I’ll just say I have a very active imagination and leave it at that! 😉
To keep writing until I run out of ideas. I have plans for the rest of my Adults Only series, and I want to finish the third book on my Office Plays series, which should have been finished a long time ago. And then I’d like to go back to writing something like my Husbands and Wives series. That was so much fun to write.
Jacey. Definitely Jacey, because she has so much freedom to be adventurous. But that would mean my hubby would be Dominic and I don’t think he’d go for that!
The worst is – write what you know. And get books out as quick as you can.
I don’t agree with either of those. I wrote a series about swingers, which honestly, I had no personal experience of. But I did it, and it worked out pretty well.
The best piece of advice it, hire an editor and a good one. And I think authors have to take their time with books, to make sure they are the best they can be.
I usually have an idea what happens in the books, but I don’t use an outline, other than the first few chapters. I let my characters do what they like, which are often a lot different than what my idea was.
I should say something literary, like Pride and Prejudice. I do love Jane Austen, but I will say my all-time favourite book is by a British author named Jilly Cooper. She writes the most awesome smut! Rivals is my favourite one of her books.
Right now I have a few project in the works; the second in the Adults Only series. It’s called Room Service and I’ll be having a few of the character from my Office Plays series visiting Morena and Lorde. I’ll head into the third book after that. But as well, I write under the name Holly Kerr and I’ve got a few things going on.
Good question. I’m a big TV/movie buff so that’s a tough question for me. For the actor, I’ll got with Harrison Ford, because I love him, and Mark Wahlberg, who I have a huge crush on! And for actress, I’m going to say Tea Leoni, because I love her in Madam Secretary, and I also have a bit of a girl crush on her!
Survivor. It’s been going on for years and it’s still so, so good!
I really like writing a series. It’s fun to keep peeling back layers of the characters, finding out more and more about them. You start out with a character and you think you know them, but as the books get going, you find out more about them. But it is hard to keep it fresh, to keep each book different and separate. Plus, I find it hard to write the second books. I always find the second book in a series is my least favourite! It’s a lot of pressure!
I want to say thank you for featuring me. It’s been fun!
Don’t you love that name!! Goddess Fish Promotions
Anyway, week two finds me being interviewed at Books, Dream, Life. Check out the page for the entire feature.
What inspired you to write this story?
My favourite part of writing is creating new characters. I loved coming up with Lorde and his heartbreak and backstory. I think the scene with him and Elizabeth was my favourite. And Morena – I have so much on her, I can’t wait to tell her story!
Honestly, the sex scenes! Not all the time – I do write erotica and I like to think I’ve gotten pretty good at it. But it’s hard when I’m working in the middle of a scene and everyone is all excited, and all of a sudden my kids will come home from school or my husband will ask me something, and I have stop in the middle and leave my characters hanging! I don’t like to leave my characters hanging – it’s no fun for anyone!
Character Interview – Jacey and Dominic appear in Making Friends and the rest of the Husbands and Wives series, as well as Shared Accommodations.I’d like to introduce Jacey and Dominic Hess, a happily married couple who enjoy having sex with other happily married couples. I sat down with them to find out why they’ve decided to join the swinger society and what it does to their marriage.
INTERVIEW: You’ve recently moved into a neighbourhood where everyone seems to be a swinger.
JACEY: We had no idea it was like that when we bought the house.
INTERVIEW: And if you had known…?
DOMINIC: Honestly, I can say we weren’t looking for this lifestyle. We have a good, strong marriage.
JACEY: Except for when-
DOMINIC: We’re not talking about that.
INTERVIEW: You have sex with your neighbours. How does that, er, work?
JACEY: It’s pretty easy. Tia has a party at her house about once a month or so. She has rooms set aside for us to use. It’s not like it’s a group thing, although most times there is a threesome or two. There’s about ten of us now, and sometimes Tia invites friends.
DOMINIC: She seems to know a lot of people in the, what do you call it? Swinger set?
INTERVIEW: I have no idea. I’m still blown away that you get to have sex with other people and your marriage seems amazing. Is this like polyamory?
JACEY: Swinging is defined as non-monogamy where a couple enjoys sexual relations outside their otherwise fidelitious relationship. Being polyamorous means having several sexual or romantic relationships at once. The line blurs in our situation. I love Dom, and I care for Mahak and Jackson, but I’m not in a relationship with them. I just have sex with them.
DOMINIC: Don’t forget Colin! And Nathan. And the wives.
INTERVIEW: You get to have sex with all those people?
JACEY: Not all at once!
INTERVIEW: Let’s talk details.
JACEY: I don’t kiss and tell, except with Dominic. He likes to hear about what’s going on. He really likes to hear about it.
DOMINIC: Jacey is much more…social…than I am.
JACEY: That’s funny, because I’m really not that social. I just like to have sex.
INTERVIEW: With other people.
JACEY: And my husband. I think the misunderstanding is that swingers look elsewhere because their own relationship doesn’t provide the necessary excitement. That’s not the case with us. Dominic’s amazing in bed. He keeps me perfectly satisfied.
DOMINIC: Thanks, baby. I think you’re making me blush.
INTERVIEW: Have you ever looked elsewhere, other than the neighbours?
JACEY: We just got back from a weekend at an adults only resort. It was fun. We met some new people.
INTERVIEW: This was a swingers resort?
DOMINIC: It was.
INTERVIEW: Are you looking to increase your friends, then?
JACEY: We’re always looking to make new friends. You interested?
Oops! I didn’t realize I took a whole MONTH off from blogging!! I really didn’t mean to. The A-Z Blogging Challenge was lots of fun, and thanks for following, but it took up lots of my time, especially when I was doing it on both sites (www.hollykerr.ca as well)
If you haven’t already read it, that is!!
ps. once you read them, I’d LOVE to hear what you think! Please write a review!
Today I’m throwing a bit of attention my way and posting about my novel, The Wives. It’s the third book in my Husbands and Wives series – an erotic series about a group of naughty neighbours who love their swinging lifestyle. Out of all my novels, I’ve had the most fun writing The Wives! Threesomes, foursomes, sex in the car; plus as Jacey really begins to get into her extracurricular activities, she discovers her husband Dominic not only accepts what she’s doing with the other husbands (and the wives!) but really likes to hear about it! It’s chock full of sexy goodies!!
Available from Amazon.
This is perhaps THE most erotic books I have had the pleasure of reading from Anna Ellis. This ranks right up there with ” The Husbands” I must say I read this novel with an erection the whole way!!!
This morning, I had a threesome.
It’s only been a few weeks since Dominic moved me kicking and screaming into the suburbs and onto Honeysuckle Court and already I’ve made friends – an unheard of phenomenon for me. And not only have I made friends – I’ve fucked their husbands, too!
And then, this morning, I was invited over to Melissa’s for a little play time, because I just seem like that type of girl.
I don’t understand how I’ve ever given the impression I might be into something like that; the threesome scene. Sure, there was once back in university where I made out with a girl but I had been really drunk and she had been really quick with her hands. But I must have something about me that screams ‘adventurous’ and ‘willing to experiment’ because both Melissa and Mahak picked up on it, and thought it worth an invite.
Even though I hate to admit it, given the inconsistency of my relationship with Melissa – sometimes she annoys me; sometimes I let her go down on me – I thoroughly enjoyed myself this morning. I enjoyed it so much I found myself agreeing to participate again at a later date. This isn’t something for Tia’s. It’s Mahak’s opinion we keep the little arrangement to ourselves, for whatever reason.
I’m fine with keeping it quiet, but I have to tell Dominic.
I wait until later that night, when the kids are asleep and we’re in bed. And then I tell him everything that happened with Melissa and Mahak that morning.
“So, they just called you over? You hadn’t…planned…this?” Dominic asks skeptically.
“No. I had no idea. I didn’t even think I’d…that I might want…you know…”
“That you’d want a threesome with the two of them?” he finishes for me. “But you did.”
“I guess.” Having sex with Mahak or Colin during one of Tia’s parties is one thing. Everyone does it, which makes it sound like I’m some sort of kid justifying playing hooky from school with his buddies, but it’s true. Tia has key parties. It’s how the neighbours describe the evenings where they enjoy each other’s company. Dom enjoys Wendy and Melissa and Paige and Tia, and I enjoy Colin and Mahak. And Jackson, only I haven’t had a chance to fully enjoy him yet. I engaged in a little dry humping on his couch one night when we were over there for dinner, but that was it.
I should be feeling guilty about this. I am feeling guilty, but I should have more guilt. I cheated on Dominic. But when you look at it, we’re both involved in an arrangement where we are intimate with other people, so have I really cheated? Have I just took our arrangement to another level and somehow left him out? I should be consumed with guilt, only I’m not. And so I feel guilty because I don’t feel as guilty as I should.
“Has anything ever happened between you and Melissa before?” he asks. I’m amazed; Dominic doesn’t seem angry, just curious. And slightly amused.
“No! Never! But she asked Tia about me, remember? And Mahak…” Now that I have opened up the can of true confessions, I better finish it off. “The other morning…I was out walking Frodo and I saw him leaving for work…”
“Mahak? And?” Dom prompted.
“And we kind of fooled around in his car,” I say in a rush.
“Really? What exactly does ‘fool around’ mean?”
“Well,” I pick at a loose thread on the blanket, feeling my cheeks redden. “He kind of went down on me. In the car. Frodo was in the back seat, so it wasn’t that bad…” I’m shocked into silence as Dom laughs.
“Yes…I’m really sorry. I didn’t mean to, it just happened!”
“Wow.” I glance at Dominic, who is staring across the room, a stunned expression on his face. “You’re really getting into this whole thing. Is it because of Mahak? Are you…do you…?”
“No! It’s Melissa too, and Jackson that night we went to their place for dinner…” I trail off. “It’s not just Mahak. It’s not like I’m just interested in him.”
“No, sounds like you’re interested in everyone. What’s this about Jackson?”
“We kind of fooled around when you and Wendy were putting the kids to bed,” I admit. Again I’m shocked with Dominic laughs.
“So did me and Wendy,” he tells me. “Well, she kissed me and grabbed my crotch.”
“And here I am feeling guilty!” I cry. “You’re doing the same thing!”
“Once,” he corrects, holding a finger for emphasis. “And it wasn’t in a car or with two of them.”
“That just happened! I didn’t mean –”
“I think things just happen with these people,” Dominic muses. “We need to make sure we’re okay with it. I’m pretty sure you are.”
“I need to know you are,” I say, omitting my agreement with whether I’m okay with it. It doesn’t seem right telling your husband you want to have sex with other people. It doesn’t mean I love him any less.
“What was it like?” he asks, his voice noticeably thicker. “With Mahak in the car. Did you like it?”
“I…” I meet Dominic’s eyes and know in an instant he’s okay with things. He seems somewhat excited by it, in fact. “He pulled my pajama pants down. I wasn’t wearing any underwear. Then he sort of lifted me up and um, started kissing and licking me…there…” Usually I’m pretty articulate when it came to describing my sexual exploits to Dom but not today.
“What was it like with Melissa?” he asks.
“Well – you know. You know what she’s like. They tied me to the bed.”
“We did that before. You liked it.”
“I did. And I liked it this time. They tied me up and then Melissa started touching my breasts and Mahak had his hand between my legs, teasing me.”
Dominic reaches out and cups my breast. “These breasts? She touched them?”
“Yes.” Dominic rubs his thumb over my nipple which springs to attention. Just like the rest of me. I’m not sure what I expected by telling Dominic, but I don’t think it was this.
“She put her mouth on your breasts? Your nipples? You liked it.”
“Yes.” And I also never thought I’d want sex tonight, not after the intensity of the scene with Mahak and Melissa, but here I am, getting excited by my husband’s touch again.
I’m glad he makes me so excited.
The first book in my Husbands and Wives series, Making Friends, came about because my hubby and I enjoy spending time with our neighbours. We have weekly gatherings at our place and one day I was thinking about them and wondered…What if…?
And Making Friends was born!!
