More from the tour!

This is my second last post from the Goddess Fish blog tour. There’s been a lot of talking about myself, and it’s becoming hard to sound interesting at times, but all in all, it’s been a lot of fun!

Monday I visited Harlie Williams  and she interviewed me. Check out her blog for the full post and to enter to win a $50 gift card from Amazon!

Welcome Anna! Please start off by telling us a little about yourself.

I like tea, wine, dogs and enjoy Martini Fridays. I’m obsessed with the world of Star Wars and Harry Potter and secretly want to be a superhero. I guess that makes me a geek who enjoys her gin!

Is Room Service a single title, or part of a series?

Room Service is the second book in the Adults Only series about a bed and breakfast that caters to swingers.

What were your inspirations for the story?

I was inspired by my characters in the other series I’ve written! There were some who still had stories to tell so I came up with a new series where I could include all my favourites.

Please share your setting for Room Service. Have you ever lived or visited there? If so, what did you like most?

I set my Adults Only series in Nova Scotia. I have no reason why, although I have visited the Bay of Fundy area and loved it. All of my other books are set in and around Toronto so I wanted something different.

When did the writing bug first bite?

I’ve been writing since I was a little girl but it was my last year in high school when my English teacher starting encouraging me that the bug really began. Thanks Mr.Clarke!!

Who are your favorite authors, book/series?

It’s so hard to pick favorited! I love Alice Clayton’s Hudson Valley Series, as well as Emma Chase’s Royal series.

If you could have an author roundtable discussion with any authors, who would you invite?

Ooh, that’s a good question! I think I’d want to talk to Stephen King, Colleen Hoover and Jilly Cooper.

Do you have any hobbies or special things you like to do in your spare time?

I have 3 kids so there’s not a lot of spare time! But these days I’m teaching my daughter to drive, helping my son train for his first 10km race and re-watching Buffy the Vampire Slayer with kid #3.

What’s the strangest thing you’ve heard or seen?

One of the strangest thing I’ve done is trying to help a snapping turtle cross a road

What is the one thing that you would tell an inspiring writer to do?

Get yourself a writing group. Writing is very solitary, but you need support, especially from other writers.
