H is for Hard

A-to-Z Blogging Challenge

Day Nine of the Blogging Challenge (I’m not doing great – missed this one yesterday) brings us the letter H in describing the Good, the Bad and the Ugly of this pandemic.

Here goes

THE GOOD: HEALTH

Be grateful if you have good health; protect it and help others keep healthy. That’s the most important thing during this.

THE BAD: HUGS

I’m a hugger. I have friends I greet with a hug, say goodbye with another. I hug my kids, I hug my kid’s friends. I am a big hugger and this is really difficult for me. I miss the warmth of having arms around you, and that gentle squeeze that tells you without a word that they are there for you, and that everything will be all right. I’m going to be doing a lot of hugging when this is all over!

My daughter made this sign for when her sister came home at the beginning of the quarantine, knowing how hard it was for me not to rush in with a hug.

To all of you – pretend I’m hugging you! Virtual hugs aren’t nearly enough, but it’s something!

THE UGLY: The HORROR

This is our world now, the new normal.

Wow, I need to post something happy!

  1. I managed to skip H by accident and had to go back to it. I will take that virtual hug and one right back to you.
