With everything going on in the world, don’t you wish you woke up this morning and it was all a bad April Fool’s Day prank?
Unfortunately, it’s not.
It’s been three years since I last participated in the A-Z Blogging Challenge. You might know the drill – I will post something every day in April, except for Sundays, all with a connecting theme and following a letter of the alphabet. This year, unsurprisingly, my theme has to do with the big bad out in the world. Every day I will pick three things about Covid-19 – the good, the bad and the ugly.
Today, I begin with the letter A.
THE GOOD: Being AT HOME
You have to admit, for those of you stuck at home, there are good things about it. Whether you have the time to clear our that closet, organize your drawers, or play a board game with your kids. It is a challenge and will continue to be so as long as this self-isolating stuff goes, but everyone needs to find something good about it.
Like me – I’m turning hubby into a house husband! Because I still have work to do, and things are a bit slow with his, guess who gets to do the vacuuming?! This would never happen unless we were stuck AT HOME!
THE BAD: ALONE
I can be positive about being at home, but it’s got to be tough for those who are in quarantine ALONE. My heart goes out to you.
THE UGLY: ADULTING
Who has had the big blowout with their kids because they want to play with their friends? Or arguing with their parents because they refuse to stay inside? Being a grown-up is hard on a good day, but during a world-crisis pandemic? ADULTING sucks!

Adulting. First time I’ve heard this as a verb! I’m having trouble these days convincing myself to be an adult. Stuck at home alone with no sense of urgency I don’t feel inclined to do anything but youtube, facebook and video gaming. What a giant opportunity going to waste.

It’s the uncertainty of when it’s going to end that makes it easy to waste time. One day in the near future (I hope!), we’re going to wake up and have to start being part of the world again, and then we’ll be like – what did I spend my time doing? But I also look at it as the only time in your life that you’re going be told to do nothing, so enjoy!
