Another week, another stop on the blog tour!

I’m really happy with GoddessFish – I signed up for their Before the Masses tour and that’s exactly what I’m getting. Lots of stops on new blogs, lots of new readers getting to know me! This week, I’m featured on  Readeropolis with a Q & A about lots of stuff.
AUTHOR INTERVIEW:

Who is your intended audience and why should they read your book?

I got one message/review of my third book, The Wives from a husband and wife! They said they loved reading the books together. I thought that was amazing, and after that, I’ve always kept in mind men are reading my books too. So I write for both men and women, targeting married couples. I have a lot of mature readers as well, which is why I came up with the character of Morena in my new series.

How did you come up with the title of your book or series?

I’m giving hubby credit for this. I had the idea for the Adults Only series and was about halfway through the first book and couldn’t come up with a name. So I mentioned it to him – I don’t normally discuss my writing with him for some reason – and bam, he came up with Shared Accommodations, Room Service and Late Check-Out, all related to the B&B. So, thanks!

Who is your favorite character from your book
My favourite character from Shared Accommodations is Jacey. I loved writing her in Husbands and Wives, and whole point of the new series was to allow previous characters to visit. But as for new characters- I love Morena. I think I want to be her when I grow up.

Where did your love of reading/storytelling/writing/etc. come from?

I used to hang out at my local library when I was a kid, and Mrs. Adams, the librarian certainly helped with the love of reading. I think it was a natural progression to go from reading everything and everywhere to writing.

Do you have any unique talents or hobbies?

I would really like to say yes, I do but I don’t! I have a love of movies and the ability to remember a whole bunch of pop culture trivia. I play Trivia Crack with my daughter and I’m very good at it!

I can also brag a bit and say folks in my neighbour are always complimenting me on my gardens. They think I hire someone and seem amazed that I do everything myself, do I guess I have a talent for gardening. It’s not that unique and it’s only for outside since I can kill indoor plants pretty quickly.

What’s the strangest thing you have ever had to research online for your book?
Not sure I want to mention some of the things I’ve had to read research for this series! Let’s just say I had to clear my browser history!  But I also write women’s fiction under a pen name and some of my more interesting searches were on the underground tunnels in North Korea and how to Hotwire a car.

What can we expect from you in the future? What are you working on now?

I’m putting the finishing touches on Room Service, the second book in my Adults Only series. It’s out Feb 27 but you can pre-order your copy now. Then I’ll be jumping right into the third book, Late Check-Out.

What can readers who enjoy your book do to help?

Write a review! Tell your friends. Word of mouth is the best and easiest way to help a book stand out of a crowd. Follow me on Facebook, Twitter and soon, Instagram! Sign up for my newsletter and join my street team. And tell me you liked my book – that’s really important and fun to hear!!!

Thanks for the chat!
