Blog tour – what week is this?

I’m in for the long haul as Goddess Fish ushers me through my blog tour. Last week was a no-show(no, I didn’t forget that one, too!) but we’re back on track this week.

I’m featured on Harp’s Romance Book Review. Stop in and check it out and don’t forget to enter the draw to win a $50 GC!

INTERVIEW WITH AUTHOR

Where do you get your book ideas?

I got the idea for my latest series, Adults Only, from a couple of articles I read. One was about a nudist resort in the Caribbean, and the other was about a gentleman who enjoyed visiting ladies on behest of their husbands. Mix those two together and you get the idea for a B & B for swingers, run by a sexy fiftysomething, known as Mrs. Robinson! Other idea just sort pop into my head, based on people or a character I come up with. It’s kind of a mystery where they come from.

Do you write outline to start or just start writing?

I have a bit of an outline before I start, and then I firm it up as I go along. Usually I know how things are going to end, even though my characters have been known to change things a bit as I go along.

How long does it normally take to write the book before edits?

It takes me about a month or so to get a rough draft down, but it’s the revisions and edits that take most of the time.

Are you an indie author or mainstream author?

I am an indie author and proud of it!

How did you get started, can you give people wanting to write an idea how to get started?

I had an idea for a book and I wrote it. Then I wrote another one. And then I wanted people to read them. Self-publishing isn’t easy, but it’s very doable. If you want to write, you just have to start putting words on a page. Read what you can about the trials and tribulations of self-publishing, and if it hasn’t scared you off yet, give it a go!
