Blogging A-Z Challenge
Thirty Days. Twenty-six posts.
April 1 marks the first day of the annual blogging challenge. For 26 days of April (every day except for Sunday) I’m going to have a post related to my Blogging A-Z Theme.
What’s my theme, you ask?
Do you really need to?
I write bedtime reading for adults, stories they can enjoy alone and with a partner. So it only makes sense that my theme is – Erotica.
I’ll be picking a word or phrase commonly associated with the literary genre of erotic. Don’t worry, these posts won’t be graphic or cringe-worthy – I’m looking to educate, information, amuse and always, entertain.
Read on!
Let’s start off with a bang!
A is for ‘At the Backdoor’
No, it’s really Anal.
Anal intercourse is the most intimate, rarely discussed form of love-making. Long considered controversial, taboo or unnatural, it can be argued that anal intercourse the best sex one can have.
- Sidenote – Just so you know, these posts aren’t my opinions, but rather what I’ve discovered via research on the internet. I write about sex, and it’s always important to keep learning about different things. You know, write what you know!!
The technical aspects of the act is that the penetration stimulates the nerve endings and g-spot for a woman. Men enjoy the rather tight squeeze and possible dominance of the partner. Some find it painful. There are many psychological factors involved. Anal sex isn’t for everyone; there must be a degree of trust and intimacy.
Anal sex isn’t for everyone. Even to consider the act, there must be a degree of trust and intimacy between partners.
Historically, society associates the act with male homosexuality, but that’s not always the case. Statistics show not all homosexuals engage in anal intercourse, preferring oral sex and mutual masturbation.
Anal intercourse refers to the actual penetration of the penis; anal sex is everything else. And there seems to be a lot out there. Sex toys, butt plugs, anal beads, fingering, anilingus (this was a new term for me!), anal masturbation or fisting.
Yes, fisting is exactly what you think it is.
I learned that there’s also something called pegging, which involves a woman wearing a strap-on dildo. Advice columnist Dan Savage wrote that he thinks ‘men should try pegging at least once’ to introduce something new and to illuminate the receiver’s perspective.
Opinions on this statement? 🙂
‘Using the back door’, ‘doing it the Greek way’, backdoor bandit, buggery, sodomy – there are many ways to call the act. Urban dictionary has quite a few terms! Porn shows the act as desirable and painless, but we all know never to believe everything you see portrayed on a porn site! Like every sexual act, everybody has different beliefs in what is pleasurable; every body has different reactions to sexual acts. It’s really a personal preference.
