Blogging A-Z – Technology is a necessary evil

Blogging A-Z: April 23 – T: Technology is a necessary evil.

blog images  Now, I love my smart phone as much as the next person and my computer seems to be permanently attached to my fingers, so I get how necessary technology is to us in this day and age. But wow – when it doesn’t go right for you…

I’m in the process up updating my PC, something I’ve put off for too long. And silly me, with all my techno savvy (NOT!), I thought I could handle it myself! Ha!  And Ha! again!!

But I’m in the home stretch and I’ve called in the cavalry to help, so I can see a faint flicker of light at the end of the tunnel.  But as I sit waiting to transfer files, I can’t help but remember when my life wasn’t dictated by things with screens.  Of course, that was when I was young and fancy-free, so things were very different. What would I do these days without the ease of computers? I’ve written a book in long-hand, typing out one precious copy and it wasn’t fun! Technology does make simple tasks easier, but things are definitely a lot more complicated.

Technology is a necessary evil.

And that’s my T post for today!!

  1. I have already had to do this with my kid’s homework computer and fear my wife’s laptop has to be next. Being the “tech support” of a technophile family is also rough.

    • Finally finished and hope I don’t have to go through that again for a while! Good luck with the laptop!
