I’ve been neglecting my blog. 😦
My blog (and my readers) have been good to me and it’s time I give them the proper attention. I’m going to blog more, follow a few meme’s and pop in more to chat. It’s time I give my little blog some more lovin’!
To start off the week, I found this cool meme to follow. A meme, for those of you wondering, is an idea or behaviour passed from person to person. There are tons of memes on the internet. A blog will post a question and ask for responses; you leave a comment on the site and a link to your own site if you have one.
Sound like fun?
Perfect Moment Mondays
I found this on lavenderluz.com, a site which isn’t related to books or writing at all. It’s about open adoption. I know nothing about open adoption but lavender’s site seems cool, so check it out if that’s something you’re interested in learning about. I’m sure there are other blogs with their own Perfect Moment Mondays and I’ll find one to link to, but until then I’ll be solo.
My perfect moment from last week was when I was standing at the side of our house with my daughter, her best friend and her friend’s mother, who is also a good friend of mine. We were having a chat at the end of the school day and I was laughing at my daughter. She talks very fast when she’s excited and she was recounting something that happened at school that day. Her friend was chiming in with her two cents so for a moment the two were battling it out to see who could tell the story faster. It was quite funny.
And then my daughter was talking so fast, the words were bubbling out of her mouth in a youthful explosion of happiness when something else bubbled from her mouth.
She burped.
Really loudly, right in the middle of a word. Now, I’m not one for bodily function humour, but I found this burp and her embarrassed expression so hilarious that I could not stop laughing. It was so funny. Tears rolling down my cheeks, bent over laughing, so funny.
Silly thing to find so funny, but I did and it was a nice moment with my daughter.
And that was my perfect Monday Moment. Got one of your own? Leave it in the comments!
